Pia are looking for a Machine Learning / AI Engineer to join the Lungy ( team.
About the Job
Pia are seeking an experienced ML / AI Engineer, with experience in computer vision and audio to work on an exciting and interesting project that will have immediate real-world applications. You will be working on Lungy, a next-generation breathing platform, and you will join a multi-disciplinary team of doctors, designers, developers and patients.
We have a flexible work environment and are happy for you to work on-site at our workspace in Somerset House in London, remotely, or a hybrid approach. Working hours are flexible and around 40 per week. The role would initially be for 3 months, with the possibility of extension.
Develop and deploy AI / ML models for computer vision and audio classification
Participate in the entire ML development process, from data collection and preprocessing to model training and evaluation.
Use computer vision, audio processing techniques and data visualisation to analyze data and extract meaningful insights.
Write testable and optimized code using programming languages such as Python and C++
Must have experience
Minimum 2-3 years of industry ML / AI development experience or PhD in Machine Learning / related field
Experience developing and deploying AI / ML models, particularly in computer vision and audio processing.
Knowledge of digital signal processing
Proficiency in a programming language such as Python or C++ and knowledge of deep learning frameworks such as Keras, PyTorch and TensorFlow.
Data visualization using appropriate tools 
You must be UK-based with the appropriate UK working visa
Healthcare / healthtech experience
Publications in peer-reviewed journals
Experience in optimising and deploying ML models for mobile devices, using e.g. Apple's CoreML framework.
Mobile development experience
Passion for design, music, and art.
